NYSE-listed Chipotle Mexican Grill has confirmed the promotion of Ilene Eskenazi, formerly chief human resources officer, to a new joint role of chief legal and human resources officer.
She succeedsRoger Theodoredis, who has retired from his role as chief legal officer and general counsel but will remain with the company in an advisory role to support the transition.
Before joining Chipotle in 2023, Eskenazi held joint roles as chief legal and human resources officer at the likes of Petco Health and Wellness Company, Boardriders andRed Bull North America. Prior to this, she served as a corporate attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Over at FuelCell Energy, Amanda Schreiber has been named general counsel and corporate secretary.
Schreiber enters the role with more than 20 years of legal, commercial and governance experienceacross businesses in the global power generation, infrastructure and multinational industrial space.
She joins from ContourGlobal where she served as EVP and general counsel and was a member of the executive committee.

Meanwhile at SPX Technologies, Daniel Whitman has been appointed VP, general counsel and secretary.
Whitman joins SPX Technologies following a 20-year career at motion and control technology company, Parker Hannifin. He most recently served as the company’s VP, law, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary.

Meanwhile, NYSE-listed transport company Knight-Swift Transportation has named Soumit Roy as EVP, general counsel and corporate secretary.
Before joining Knight-Swift, Roy served as EVP, general counsel, chief human resources officer and corporate secretary at EVO Transportation. Prior to this he worked as EVP, chief legal officer, general counsel, chief human resources officer and corporate secretary at Daseke.
Roy succeeds Todd Carlson, who retired from the role at the end of last year, and comes as analysts express growing confidence in Knight-Swift’s operational positioning within a tightening truckload market.
Earlier this week, Green Plains, a Nasdaq-based biorefining company, welcomed Ryan Loneman as its new general counsel and secretary.
In this role, Loneman will lead Green Plains’ legal function as well as serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on corporate governance, strategic transactions and regulatory matters.
Loneman joins the company from Lindsay Corporation, where he served in a variety of legal roles since 2016, most recently as VP of legal. He was previously VP and general counsel at Signal Security and practiced law with Kirkland & Ellis.

Meanwhile in Canada, mineral exploration company Evolution Global Frontier Ventures has confirmed the appointment of Derrick Gaon to the role of president and corporate secretary.
Over a 30-year career span, he has held C-Suite positions at both private and public companies as well as working as a financial advisor.
