Intel Corporation has appointed Aparna Bawa as its new EVP, chief legal and people officer.
Bawa succeeds April Miller Boise, who was confirmed to be leaving the company as of June 1 after serving with the company since 2022.
Reporting to Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, Bawa will lead Intel’s global legal, ethics, compliance, people and culture organizations.
She joins from Zoom, where she served as chief operating officer. Before that, Bawa held senior legal and leadership roles in the technology industry for the likes of Magento Commerce, Nimble Storage and Inphi Corporation.
‘Aparna brings a rare combination of operational rigor, business judgment and people-first leadership. Her experience helping scale global technology companies through periods of significant change will be invaluable as we build a stronger, more agile Intel,’ says Tan.
Staying in the US, Tripadvisor has confirmed that Seth Kalvert, the company’s chief legal officer and secretary, will exit his role as of May 1.
In an SEC 8-K filing, the company stated that Kalvert’s exit would be treated as a ‘qualifying termination’ for the purposes of severance, but added that the move ‘is not the result of any disagreements with the company on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies or practices.’
Kalvert’s replacement has not been announced, but he will remain available to the company in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
Over at Braze, the cloud-based customer engagement platform, general counsel and secretary Susan Wiseman is to leave the business on or before June 30.
Wiseman joined Braze back in 2016 as SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary, prior to which she served as managing counsel, salesforce marketing cloud at Salesforce.
While the company confirmed the change in an 8-K filing, Wiseman’s replacement was not mentioned.
Meanwhile at The Manitowoc Company, a global provider of lifting equipment, Jennifer Peterson has been promoted to EVP, chief legal and people officer, and secretary.
Peterson previously held the role of EVP, general counsel and secretary. In her expanded role, she will lead now Manitowoc’s global human resources, legal and risk management functions.
She joined Manitowoc in 2018 and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the legal department, starting as associate general counsel of litigation and product safety.

Elsewhere, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners has confirmed the appointment ofSvetlana Walker as general counsel and company secretary.
Walker enters the role with over 20 years of experience in international legal and compliance across packaging, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods. She most recently served as general counsel and chief compliance officer at Klöckner Pentaplast Group.
Walker succeeds Clare Wardle, who stepped down as general counsel and company secretary at the start of April.
Finally, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission has named Stephen Andrews as deputy general counsel for regulation and Martin Minot as deputy general counsel for litigation.
Andrews joins from the US Senate, where he served as general counsel to Senator Josh Hawley.
While Minot comes to the CFTC from the Virginia Attorney General’s Office, where he served as an assistant solicitor general and senior assistant attorney general.
