American Water Works Company has promotedJeffrey Taylor to the role of SVP, chief SEC counsel and secretary.
Confirmed in a LinkedIn post, Taylor previously served as VP, chief SEC counsel and secretary, a role he has held since February 2021.
Before that he was chief SEC & corporate governance counsel and assistant secretary, having joined American Water in 2015.
Taylor has also held tenures at the likes of Blank Rome LLP, Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP and Gunster Yoakley.
Over at medical tech company Baxter International, Courtney Roldan has been promoted to the role of associate general counsel, ethics & compliance – global investigations, monitoring & AI.
Confirmed in a LinkedIn post, she previously acted as senior counsel, ethics & compliance – head of global investigations, a role she held since April 2024.
Prior to her time at Baxter, Roldan worked for the likes of King & Spalding, Perkins Coie and K&L Gates.
Elsewhere, US-based Viper Energy, a subsidiary of Diamondback E&P, has confirmed the promotion of Will Krueger, the company’s current VP of legal to that of VP, general counsel and secretary.
Krueger will continue to report to Matt Zmigrosky, Diamondback’s EVP, chief legal and administrative officer and secretary. Zmigrosky is stepping down from his position as Viper’s EVP, general counsel and secretary to facilitate Krueger’s promotion.
Staying in the US, Charles River Laboratories International has appointed Kerry Daileyto the newly created position of corporate senior vice president and chief legal officer.
Assuming the role on March 30, Dailey will lead the company’s global legal function and help set the strategic direction for legal and governance matters.
Dailey joins Charles River from Alcon where she spent more than a decade in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as VP, legal and assistant corporate secretary. While there she also served as head of legal and compliance for international, head of legal and compliance forLatin America, head of legal forUSvisioncare and associate general counsel, regulatory law.
Prior to joining Alcon,Daileyserved as senior counsel for Merial, a Sanofi company, from 2007 to 2013.
NYSE-listed Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) has announced that Lanesha Minnixhas been named EVP and general counsel for the company.
Effectiveas of March 16, Minnix will lead the company’s law group and public affairs. She will report toTom Polen, chairman, CEO and presidentof BD and serve on the company’s executive leadership team.
Before her appointment, Minnix served as EVP and chief legal officer of Walgreens Boots Alliance. Prior to that, she held senior executive roles at Ecolab and Flowserve.
At the same time, Armstrong World Industries has named Jessica Cicali as SVP, general counsel and secretary.
Cicali enters the role with more than two years’ experience in legal, compliance, regulatory and business partnership affairs. Before her appointment, she served as EVP, chief legal officer, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary for S&B USA, the US division of Shikun & Binui.
Before that she held various roles at Cardone Industries, including general counsel and chief administrative officer, which integrated the chief legal officer and chief people officer functions.
Elsewhere, NYSE-listed Accelerant, a data-driven company, has named Cliff Jenks as general counsel and corporate secretary.
Jenks will succeed Nancy Hasley, who is retiring on March 31.
With more than 20 years of experience in capital markets, Jenks most recently served as SVP, corporate and securities counsel and corporate secretary at Reinsurance Group of America.
Lastly, Choice Hotels International confirmed that Simone Wu, SVP, general counsel, corporate secretary and external affairs is to retire from her role with the company in the first half of 2026.
Wu is to stay with the company until her successor is found.
