NYSE-listed aviation firm StandardAero has confirmed that Michael Kaplan will rejoin the company as chief legal officer, effective as of October 6.
Kaplan formerly served as SVP, general counsel, chief security officer and secretary at the company and is returning to succeed Steve Sinquefield, who is retiring after holding the position for more than ten years.
Before rejoining StandardAero, Kaplan served as senior counsel at Norton Rose Fulbright. He also spent more than ten years as chief legal officer at MDC Holdings and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers.

Staying in the US, Carlsmed, a medical technology company, has announced the appointment of Jenifer Kamocsay as chief legal officer and secretary.
Kamocsay enters the role with more than two decades of corporate legal experience, having worked for various companies acrossthe life science and technology sectors.
Before joining Carlsmed, Kamocsay served as chief legal officer at Akoya Biosicences. Prior to this, she served as general counsel at Rubius Therapeutics and associate general counsel at Progress Software Corporation. She started her career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
Last week, Huntsman Corporation announced that Julia Wright – who was due to succeed incumbent DavidStryker as EVP, general counsel and secretary – would no longer be joining the company.
Wright stepped down from the role for ‘personal reasons’ and Stryker will continue to serve as the company’s EVP, general counsel and secretary until a new successor is found.
Elsewhere, Trane Technologies, a global climate innovator, has named Victoria Lazar as SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary, reporting to chair and CEO Dave Regnery as part of the enterprise leadership team.
Lazar joins Trane from TechnipFMC where she served as EVP, chief legal office and corporate secretary. Before that, she was SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary of Bristow Group and held executive legal roles at General Electric and Electronic Data Systems Corporation.
Meanwhile, Everest Group has confirmed that its EVP and general counsel, Ricardo Anzaldua, is to retire from his role in the coming months.
A search for his successor is underway but, in the interim, Anzaldua will continue to serve as general counsel to ensure a seamless transition.

Finally, LSE-listed M&G Asset Management has welcomed Tim Page as its new chief compliance officer.
Page will report to Shawn Gamble, chief risk and compliance officer at M&G, as well as joining the firm’s asset management executive committee, led by CEO Joseph Pinto.
In a LinkedIn post Page said that he is looking forward ‘to working with my new colleagues across the globe to deliver an effective Compliance program that supports the firm’s strategic priorities’.
Page joins M&G from Morgan Stanley Investment Management where most recently served as managing director, international head of compliance for investment management. He started his career at Norton Rose Fulbright.
