People moves: Kyndryl names interim general counsel amid CFO departure and accounting review

Plus Cloudflare, Milestone Pharmaceuticals and Viatris make new leadership changes

IT Infrastructure services provider Kyndryl has appointed Mark Ringes as interim general counselfollowing the departure of Edward Sebold.

Prior to his appointment, Ringes has served as the company’s SVP, deputy general counsel since 2024. Before joining Kyndryl, he served as VP, assistant general counsel at IBM for over 25 years.

Sebold’s exit coincides with the departure of CFO David Wyshnerand a change in role for Vineet Khurana, who has stepped down from his position as SVP and global controller to assume a different role at Kyndryl.

They are succeeded respectively by HarshChughas interim finance chief and BhavnaDoegaras interim corporate controller.

The changes come as the company filed an 10-K stating it ‘is reviewing its cash management practices related disclosures’ as well as ‘the efficacy of the company’s internal control over financial reporting, and certain other mattersfollowing the company’s receipt of voluntary document requests from the Division of Enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to such matters.’

Staying in the tech space, Cloud provider Cloudflare has confirmed the exit of its chief legal officer Doug Kramer after nearly ten years with the company.

As of March 31, Kramer will be succeeded by Alissa Starzak who is currently vice president, deputy current chief legal officer and global head of public policy. Kramer will stay with the company as a senior advisor.

Prior to joining Cloudflare, Kramer was deputy administrator of the US Small Business Administration, as well as general counsel of the United States Agency for International Development.

Elsewhere, Milestone Pharmaceuticals has named David Sandoval as general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Sandoval enters the role with more than 15 years of experience in leading legal and compliance functions across the life sciences sector.

Before joining Milestone, he served as SVP, general counsel, corporate compliance officer and corporate secretary at MaxCyte. Prior to this, he was chief legal office and chief compliance officer for North America at Leadiant Biosciences. Earlier in his career he worked for the likes of Enzon Pharmaceuticals and O’Melveny & Myers LLP.

Meanwhile, Nasdaq-listed pharmaceutical company Viatris has confirmed the appointment of Matthew Maletta as its new chief legal officer, succeeding Brian Roman who is leaving after a 20-year tenure.

Maletta joins Viatris with almost 30 years of experience. Before his current appointment he served as EVP, chief legal officer and corporate secretary at pharmaceutical company, Endo.

Prior to that he spent more than a decade with Allergan rising to the ranks of VP, associate general counsel and corporate secretary.

Elsehwere, insurance firm Everspan Group, a subsidiary of NYSE-listed Octave Specialty Group,has promoted Nicole Crowley to the position of general counsel.

To date, Crowly has served as assistant general counsel and has brought over a decade of insurance law experience to the role. Prior to joining Everspan in 2024, she was products counsel for Coaction Global.

Lastly, The Huntington National Bank has welcomed Senthil Kumaras its new chief risk officer. Senthil succeeds Helga Houston, who has accepted a new role as senior executive advisor.

Senthil joins Huntington with 25 years of experience in senior risk leadership, having most recently served as chief risk officer at BNY.

Prior to BNY, Senthil held multiple senior risk leadership roles at Citigroup, including chief risk officer for the company’s institutional clients group. Earlier at Citi, he served as head of risk for financial institutions and the public sector, as well as head of risk for alternative assets and investments, hedge funds and private equity.

Senthil will join Huntington’s executive leadership team and report directly to CEO Steve Steinour.
