People moves: Skip Lockard joins Siemens USA as new general counsel

Plus Air France-KLM, Bridger Aerospace and Vera Therapeutics expand their legals teams

Siemens USA, a subsidiary of Siemens AG, has announced the appointment of Skip Lockard as its new SVP and general counsel.

In this role, Lockard will lead Siemens USA’s team of legal, compliance and intellectual property professionals.

Lockard joined Siemens in 2011 as most recently served as the company’s US deputy general counsel.Over the course of his tenure, he has led US litigation and the corporate legal team supporting governance, technology, procurement, communications and employment matters.

He also served as lead US counsel to Siemens’ former Industry Automation business, advising on complex commercial, regulatory and technology issues.

Over at the Air France-KLM Group, Lucie Muniesa has been named EVP and corporate secretary of the group.

Muniesa enters the roles with over 28 years of experience public policy, finance and law.Prior to joining Air France-KLM she served as EVP for sustainability, compliance and institutional affairs at Paprec Group and was also a member of the group executive committee.

Across her career, she has held several positions within the French administration and major economic institutions, notably deputy director general of the Agence des Participations de l’État at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Meanwhile, Nasdaq-listed Bridger Aerospace Group, an aerial firefighting company, has appointed Justin Mogford as general counsel and corporate secretary.

Mogford will succeed James Muchmore – who is stepping down as chief legal officer and EVP a role he has held since 2016 – and will lead Bridger’s legal, compliance and governance functions.

Hejoins from Bristow Group, where he served most recently as division general counsel, advanced air mobility and corporate governance and assistant corporate secretary.

Staying in the US, biotech company Vera Therapeutics has named Jane Wright-Mitchell as its new chief legal officer.

Wright-Mitchell is a business and compliance lawyer with over 25 years of experience advising public and private companies. She most recently served as general counsel at Lecar Life Sciences. Before this she was general counsel, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary at Vaxcyte. Prior to that, she served as the chief legal officer of other pharmaceutical and research companies.

‘Jane has worked with Vera Therapeutics previously as a strategic legal consultant and brings a depth and breadth of experience in supporting companies through regulatory approvals, commercialization, and intellectual property management,’ says Marshall Fordyce, founder and CEO of Vera Therapeutics.

Elsewhere, Nasdaq-listed Goosehead Insurance has confirmed the appointment of Martin Thornthwaite as general counsel and corporate secretary.

Thornthwaite most recently served as SVP and associate general counsel at RealPage where he was responsible for overseeing complex commercial and consumer litigation, regulatory and governmental investigations as well as employment-related legal matters.

Before that, he was a member at Clark Hill PLC and a partner at Strasburger & Price LLP.

Lastly, the Neogen Corporation confirmed that Amy Rocklin, its chief legal and administrative officer, was stepping down, in an 8-K filing.

Before joining Neogen in 2021, Rocklin worked for Corning holding several different roles as part of her nearly 10-year tenure. Her most recent role at Corning as VP of corporate law.

No details of Rocklin’s replacement were shared at the time of the announcement.
